EAGLE SCOUT AWARD CEREMONY

An Eagle award ceremony was held for Michael Capp on Thursday, September 24. The ceremony was held in Kirkville Fire Company's pole barn banquet facility. FF Jeff Barker, Scoutmaster of Kirkville Troop 210 took charge of the ceremony and Chaplain Bruce Foster, presented the "Eagle Charge". This is the last of the Eagle Scouts under the leadership of Scoutmaster Jeff Barker. Jeff has retired as Scoutmaster and Mark Dashnaw is assuming leadership of Troop 210. Congratulations to Mike on this prestigious accomplishment! Additional thanks are extended to Scoutmaster Jeff Barker for his years of service to Troop 210. EAGLE SCOUT AWARD CEREMONY

Boy Scout Eagle Scout award ceremony for Jake Barker, son of FF Jeff Barker was held on Friday, August 15, 2014.   FF Jeff Barker, Scoutmaster of Kirkville Troop 210  took charge of the ceremony. Chaplain Bruce Foster, presented the "Eagle Charge". Less than "two percent" of all scouts in the United States reach the Eagle rank. The Kirkville Fire Company is proud of our longstanding support of Troop 210 and we extend our congratulations to Jake on this achievement. DISTRICT-WIDE INDOOR CAMPOREE

Approximately 120 boy scouts, including many from our own Troop 210, had the opportunity to camp overnight in the 6th floor conference center at DestiNY USA on March 23, 2014. Pictured here with the group is Kirkville Fire Company Chaplain Bruce Foster who provided the Sunday morning church service for the participants.

 BOY SCOUT TROOP 210 NEWS

A Boy Scout Eagle Scout award ceremony was held on Thursday, June 20. FF Jeff Barker, Scoutmaster of Kirkville Troop 210 took charge of the ceremony. Chaplain Bruce Foster, Eagle Scout, held the Invocation and Benediction prayers for the ceremony. Captain Shawn Foster, Eagle Scout, presented the “Eagle Charge”. FF Justin Zacharias, Eagle Scout ,and his brother Jeff Zacharias ,Eagle Scout, were “escorts“ of the parents during the awarding of the Eagle Scout medal. Chief Zacharias, and former Scout Leader of Troop 210 was present at the momentous occasion.

FIREFIGHTER JEFF BARKER RECEIVES BOY SCOUTS DISTRICT AWARD OF MERIT

On Thursday June 7, 2012, FF Jeff Barker, Scoutmaster of Kirkville's Troop 210 received the "District Award of Merit" for his many years of continuous service as Scoutmaster of Troop 210 and also Cubmaster of Pack 210.   In his acceptance speech,  Jeff mentioned the importance of the sponsor organization for the troop, the Kirkville Fire Company. He read the names of the members of the fire company who had past ties with Troop 210:

The Kirkville Fire Company has been a proud sponsor of Boy Scout Troop 210 for over 45 years. In fact, many of our current firefighters started out with the Troop in their younger years. Scout meetings are held at the firehouse each Thursday evening between 6:30 and 8:00pm.
